[Gyeonggi] Yangpyeong-gun will ban disposable cups from next year.

Yangpyeong-gun said it will ban employees and civil petitioners from bringing disposable cups into the government building from January next year to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and practice carbon neutrality, and provide 30 multi-use cups a day for each department.

The county said it has been operating the guidance period since last month, explaining that it has completed preparations such as mandatory use of multi-use cups, installing tumbler cleaners, and installing disposable cup recovery tables.

As a specific measure, the county added that it has set up disposable cup collection tables at the entrance of the main building and annex of the building, and encourages civil petitioners to refrain from bringing in disposable cups.

It also said that tumbler cleaners were installed on the fifth floor so that employees could use personal tumblers or multi-use cups at various meetings.
