As the cold slows down, ultra-fine dust is rising this time.
The concentration of ultrafine dust in the metropolitan area is "bad," and smog from China is expected to flow in overnight.
It also snows a lot in the Midwest from night.
I'm connecting with the reporter. Reporter Kim Minkyung!
How much has the concentration of ultrafine dust in the metropolitan area increased?
[Reporter]
Yes, if the concentration of ultrafine dust exceeds 36μg per cubic meter, it is classified as "bad".
As of noon, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Seoul is 45㎍g per cubic meter, 44㎍g in Incheon, and 41㎍g in Gyeonggi Province, which are "bad."
This is because domestic pollutants accumulated as the atmosphere stagnated overnight.
The problem is that the atmosphere is expected to stagnate overnight, and this time, smog from China is expected to flow.
Because of this, tomorrow, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Yeongseo, Gangwon, Sejong, and Chungbuk is 'bad' all day long.
Incheon, Daejeon, and Chungnam are expected to rise to 'bad' in the morning and Daegu and Gyeongbuk in the afternoon.
The National Institute of Environmental Research says that even if smog from China is introduced, the amount will not be large, so it is not expected to rise to the level of "very bad."

A lot of snow was also predicted in the central and Jeonbuk regions during the night, right?
[Reporter]
That's right.
With the influx of cloud bands in the West Sea, snow will begin to fall on the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do during the day, and at night, it will expand inland to the metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk.
As much as 30cm in Ulleungdo Island and 5 to 20cm in Jeju Mountain, heavy snow in mountainous and coastal areas,
Snow is expected to reach up to 10cm in southern Gangwon and Jeonbuk, 3 to 8cm in Gyeonggi and Chungbuk, and 1 to 5cm in Seoul and northern Gangwon, Chungnam and Jeonnam, and Yeongnam.
In particular, strong and heavy snow of 1 to 3 cm per hour is expected to fall in central and eastern Jeollabuk-do between dawn and morning tomorrow.
There is a possibility of a heavy snow warning in some areas, so caution is needed.
This snow will mostly stop tomorrow afternoon, and some west coasts will continue until the morning after tomorrow and Jeju Island will continue until the day after tomorrow.
After the snow stops, cold air will come down from the northwest immediately, and temperatures will drop sharply again, with temperatures in Seoul expected to drop to minus 7 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning.
