Overnight, heavy snowfall in eastern Gangwon and Gyeonggi...heavy snow into the morning

Overnight, a lot of snow accumulated around 10cm in Gangwon and northeastern Gyeonggi Province.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said that the cloud belt in the West Sea flowed in and around 10cm of snow fell in Gangwon Province and northeastern Gyeonggi Province, including 11.4cm in Daehwa-myeon, Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, overnight.

While heavy snow warnings are currently in place in Gangwon, Chungcheong, North Gyeongsang and North Jeolla provinces, caution is needed as 1 to 3cm of strong and heavy snow is expected by morning in areas where special warnings are being issued.

Snow will mostly stop in the afternoon, but cold air will come down from the northwest, and the temperature will drop significantly, and tomorrow morning, Seoul will drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius.
