Tennis Racket and Ball Online Price Forced...a corrective order from importers

2024.12.22 PM 01:51
Companies that import and distribute tennis products and impose the lowest online prices on wholesale and retail companies will be sanctioned by the Fair Trade Commission.

The Fair Trade Commission has decided to issue corrective orders to Armour Sports Korea, Eugene Sportif, and Al Commerce.

They are accused of providing wholesale and retail clients with an online minimum price tag for tennis rackets and balls, bags and shoes from 2021 to the beginning of this year and demanding they follow suit.

In addition, it was investigated that if the customer is frequently checked for compliance and does not comply, it will cause disadvantages such as suspension of shipment.

Companies stopped doing this after the FTC conducted an on-site investigation, and in October, they voluntarily corrected them by announcing a policy to liberalize resale prices and revising the provisions of the contract.

As a result, the FTC concluded the sanctions in the line of issuing a restraining order preventing the same from doing the same in the future.
