Prime Minister's Office "No change in existing position...Decisions made in accordance with the Constitution and laws"

The Prime Minister's Office has not made any particular position regarding the Democratic Party's demand to promulgate the Special Prosecutor Kim Gun-hee and the Independent Counsel for Insurrection by the 24th, only saying that Acting President Han Deok-soo's existing position remains unchanged.

An official from the Prime Minister's Office said that if the Democratic Party does not promulgate the special prosecution laws by the day after tomorrow, there is nothing to comment on other than its previous position on suggesting impeachment.

At the same time, he reaffirmed his existing position that, as he has already stated, he will listen to various opinions and make decisions for the future of the country in accordance with the Constitution and laws.

In addition, he explained that there was no decision on whether to push it to the 24th as to the timing of the decision on whether to promulgate the Special Prosecutor Act.
