Russia, North Korean military insist on tactics..."Change directions and advance into the forest".

Analysts say the North Korean military, which suffered hundreds of casualties in a Ukrainian drone attack while conducting infantry charges on a snow-covered open area in Kursk, Russia, is changing direction and preparing to advance using forests.

However, it is pointed out that only casualties can occur again because the terrain is open again after the forest is over, and the tactical framework of advancing infantry without armoured vehicles or artillery support remains the same.

Ukrainian media Euromaidan Press reported on the 22nd local time that "Russian commanders have turned the direction of the North Korean military's 'human wave offensive' to other key points."

According to the analysis, the existing Russian and North Korean attacks in Kursk were carried out by infiltrating from the west toward the village of Malaya Locnya, 13.5 kilometers northeast of the Ukrainian border.

However, despite putting considerable power into it, they lost a huge number of troops without being able to enter Loknya, Malaya.

In particular, it was analyzed that the North Korean military's unfamiliar battlefield environment of open areas and failure to adapt to unfamiliar weapons such as drones increased the damage.

In fact, videos released by the Ukrainian military in succession clearly showed the North Korean military being helplessly attacked by a drone.

U.S. military officials say there are hundreds of North Korean casualties on the Kursk front.

The South Korean National Intelligence Service also estimated that at least 100 North Korean soldiers died and 1,000 were injured.

According to Euromaidan Press, Russian forces turned to the east of Malaya Locnya.

The new targets are villages such as Ruskoye Forecinoe and Cherkaskoye Forecinoe, located on the eastern outskirts of Loknya, Malaya.

By using it as a bridgehead, the strategy is to break the supply line to Malaya Locnya and isolate the troops stationed in Ukraine by advancing further south.

The two new villages have geographical advantages in utilizing the North Korean military in that the forest is in contact with the north.

By using lush forests as a shield to concentrate troops away from battery and drone surveillance, Ukraine's defense forces will be overwhelmed in the "head count."

However, given that fields are spread out in front of the forest, the North Korean military will meet the same obstacles, Euromaidan Press predicted."Russian commanders are still refusing to provide armoured vehicles or artillery support to the North Korean military, even after watching the massive losses caused by the advance of pure infantry against Ukrainian shelling and drone attacks over the past few days," the media outlet
said. "We only hope to use the North Korean military as a pure 'human wave' tactic to consume Ukraine's defense capabilities."

He also noted that the North Korean military, which has only a few weeks of training and has little understanding of modern warfare, is easily targeted by Ukrainian batteries after being divided into small groups like Russian troops in the fields and banded together in large units.

"If the North Korean military fails to secure the forest, the Ukrainian military will be able to expand its defense capabilities to prepare for the next attack, which will eventually cause more catastrophic damage," he predicted.
