Kwon Young-se, a five-term lawmaker, has been nominated as the new emergency committee chairman.
Kwon Sung-dong, the floor leader of the People's Power Party, held a general meeting of lawmakers and said he would report Kwon Young-se to the people as a candidate for the emergency committee chairman to lead the reorganization and reform of the party.
He then explained that the new emergency committee had to take on the heavy responsibility of stabilizing state affairs, party unity, and change, so he needed to put in a lot of experience and immediate power.
At the same time, Kwon Young-se stressed that he served in key positions of the government and the party in recognition of the skills and leadership of integration of five-term lawmakers in the Seoul metropolitan area.
He also added that he has no doubt that the new candidate for the emergency committee chairman will fulfill his duties at a time when cooperation between the government and the government is more important than ever.
It is eight days after former representative Han Dong-hoon resigned that the People's Power appointed a new emergency chairman.
People's Power is expected to hold a standing national committee on the 26th and an online national committee on the 30th to confirm Kwon as the new emergency chairman.
