Hollywood star director and producer Christopher Nolan is working on a film adaptation of the ancient epic Odyssey, with the goal of releasing it in theaters on July 17, 2026.
Hollywood investment distributor Universal Pictures said, "Nolan's new film 'Odyseia' will be filmed around the world using new IMAX film technology," adding, "It's a mythical action epic."
'Odiseia' is an ancient epic poem believed to have been written by the Greek literary writer Homer in the 8th and 7th centuries BC, revolving around Odysseus' journey back home in the decade after the Trojan War.
U.S. media reported that Nolan's new film will feature a number of stars, including publicly dating couple Zendeia and Tom Holland, as well as Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Sheeran.
Nolan has made critically acclaimed films from both the public and the critics, including Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight and Dunkirk, and recently won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director for his film Oppenheimer.
