A sinkhole on the northern road of New York, New Jersey, U.S., blocked some highways passing through it.
New Jersey's transportation authority says a sinkhole was found on a road near Worton, about 64 kilometers west of New York City, blocking lanes east of the highway to and from Interstate 80 and controlling vehicles on Wednesday.
The road was part of a highway connecting northern New Jersey to Pennsylvania, New Jersey's transportation authority said, explaining that there was no significant damage fortunately because the grounding occurred on holidays when traffic was low.
He said he blocked the road and started road restoration work, asking drivers to use the detour before entering the highway.
