Following Japan Airlines (JAL), large bank Mitsubishi UFJ suffered a temporary system failure following a cyberattack, Yomiuri and Kyodo news agency reported.

Mitsubishi UFJ Bank announced yesterday afternoon (26th) that a failure occurred in its Internet banking Mitsubishi UFJ Direct system.

Because of this, some users were unable to access Internet banking, and problems were also identified in corporate systems.

The bank described the system failure as a result of fraudulently sending large amounts of data from outside.

However, he said there was no customer data leakage and virus damage.

Japan Airlines also said yesterday (26th) morning that a network device connecting inside and outside the company was attacked by a cyber attack, causing a failure in the baggage management system of users.

Both companies were reportedly attacked by DDoS.
