Dalseong-gun, Daegu, announced that it will tear down the "Yaksan Hot Spring Hotel" building in Nongong-eup, which has been neglected for 15 years due to bankruptcy and business difficulties, and develop it as a tourist destination.
Under the agreement, the owner plans to demolish the building and Dalseong County Office will buy the land and develop it as a tourist destination linked to the rural tourism and recreation complex, which is scheduled to be completed in 2028.
The Yaksan Hot Spring Hotel has been auctioned off due to the owner's bankruptcy since its construction began in 1996, and in 2010, the new owner tried to expand it into a tourist hotel and has been left as an abandoned building.
