Zelensky calls for sending troops to the West... "Those thought of 4,000 North Korean troops."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked Western-backed countries to send troops, AFP and other foreign media reported.

"Our goal is to find as many means as possible to force peace on Russia," President Zelensky said at a meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Liaison Group (UDCG) in Ramstein, Germany, on the 9th local time.

"Last year, France came up with the idea of deploying a contingent to Ukraine," Zelensky said, adding that he had heard signals from some partners, including Britain, that he supported it.

Collusion with North Korea shows Putin's weakness, he said. "North Korea does not value its people and has lost 4,000 people so far."

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who attended the meeting, announced that the war in Ukraine is an important issue for all of us and that it will provide additional military aid worth $500 million, about 730 billion won, to Ukraine.

The support package included anti-aircraft missiles, air-to-ground ammunition, and technical support for F-16 fighter jets.
