Conflicts are brewing over the issue of the activities of JTBC audition program "Project 7" debut group Close Your Eyes.
In an official statement today (10th), Uncore, the management officer of Close Your Eyes, announced legal action, saying that trainees from Pocketdol Studios (Jamin, Kenshin Sakurada) are violating the appearance contract.
"At the time of the program's appearance contract, all performers and agencies were aware that if they were selected as a debut group, they would not be able to work outside of the project group without prior approval from Uncore," Uncore said. "Pocketdol Studio has been damaging other members by unilaterally claiming that it will push for domestic and foreign events contrary to the contents of the appearance contract and carry out individual group activities at the same time since the signing of the contract."
In response, Pocketdol Studio also refuted the same day, saying, "At the time of the appearance contract, we made the contract on the condition that it would be possible to combine with existing group activities even if we became a debut group." He then claimed, "I signed a contract that it was possible to do activities at the same time, but suddenly changed my words after the final member was selected." The contract for the appearance of "Project 7" stipulates that existing activities can be carried out at the same time, and accordingly, the production team shared all contracted contracts, such as the release of BAE173 albums and overseas tours.
In addition, Pocketdol Studio said, "Uncore is acting unfairly by blocking contact with its trainees and not informing them of the location of the accommodation," adding, "We even reported them missing to the police to find out where their trainees are."
In particular, in the case of Kenshin Sakurada, a minor, expressed concern about the situation in which it is difficult to accurately identify the location as Pocket Doll Studios is playing the role of a guardian in Korea.
