34% of the people's power, 36% of the democracies..."Before martial law in both parties" [Gallup]

In addition to the power of the people, the Democratic Party of Korea's support has returned to the level before the December 3 emergency martial law crisis, according to a poll.

According to Gallup Korea's survey of 1,004 voters aged 18 or older nationwide from the 7th to the 9th, support from the ruling and opposition parties was 34% for the people and 36% for the Democratic Party of Korea.

Compared to the previous survey, three weeks ago, the power of the people increased by 10 percentage points, while the Democratic Party fell by 12 percentage points.

Gallup Korea cited the passage of the impeachment motion by former acting president Han Deok-soo, the battle over the change of the contents of the impeachment motion by the National Assembly, confusion of investigative power and failure to execute arrest warrants as the main background.

He explained that the issue is believed to have raised the sense of crisis of regime change among the existing ruling party supporters and at the same time dampened the expectations of the middle and progressives who had strengthened the main opposition party.
