The National Bio Commission, chaired by the president, will be launched next month to oversee and coordinate domestic bio-policy.

Park Sang-wook, senior presidential secretary for science and technology, held a briefing today and announced the state-of-the-art bio initiative in April this year and quickly reorganized related governance, leading to the launch of the National Bio Commission.

President Yoon Suk Yeol will be the chairman of the National Bio Commission, and Lee Sang-yeop, a master in the bio field, has been appointed as the vice chairman.

Authoritative experts in all bio fields, including Kim Bit-na-ri, head of the Institute of Basic Science, Ko Han-seung, president of Samsung Bioepis, and Kim Young-tae, president of Seoul National University Hospital, will participate as members.Chief Park
