Presidential Office "North Korean troops dispatched to Russia cannot start full-fledged fighting"

2024.11.06 PM 04:23
The president's office says it does not believe full-fledged fighting has begun with North Korean troops sent to Russia.

An official from the presidential office told reporters today, "We can't confirm if there were any other reconnaissance activities or pre-prepared activities by a small number of people, but what our government is keeping an eye on is whether the battle has begun."

He also stressed the need to send a battlefield monitoring team to understand what tactics North Korea and Russia are using if fighting begins.

He explained that dispatching individual units other than sending troops does not require the consent of the National Assembly and is possible with the policy decision of the Minister of National Defense.
