The People's Power congratulated Republican candidate Donald Trump on his election as the 47th U.S. president and expressed hope that the blood alliance between South Korea and the U.S. will develop further.

Kwak Kyu-taek, a senior spokesman, said in a commentary, "The security situation in Northeast Asia is more severe than ever due to the recent close ties between North Korea and Russia, and we should respond thoroughly to North Korea's armed provocations with a perfect security posture between South Korea and the U.S.."

He went on to say that as we have shared liberal democracy and market economy systems and established economic partnerships with close trade relations for a long time, we will have to work together to generate profits in new fields such as high-tech industries.
