President Yoon Suk Yeol will hold his second Korea-Japan summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit to be held in Peru.
The presidential office said President Yoon will meet with Prime Minister Ishiba on the occasion of his attendance at the APEC summit in Lima, Peru, on the 15th local time to confirm the firm commitment to developing Korea-Japan relations, which will mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year.
It is the first time in about a month that the two leaders will meet since the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and ASEAN summits on the 10th of last month.President Yun
will also hold a South Korea-U.S.-Japan summit in Peru on the 15th, local time, attended by U.S. President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Ishiba.
