Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party, who was deprived of his right to vote in the first trial for violating the Public Official Election Act, will attend a rally to denounce the regime in downtown Seoul today as scheduled.
The Democratic Party of Korea is struggling to maintain a single party, saying it cannot go against the public sentiment with political rulings, and it has accused the people of being the worst reason for the aggravation of sentencing.
I'm connecting with the reporter. Reporter Na Hye-in, it seems like the Democratic Party is trying hard not to lose out in the public opinion contest?

Yes, the Democratic Party of Korea will hold an emergency joint meeting attended by its lawmakers and regional chairmen from across the country at the National Assembly shortly to discuss the direction of response after the first trial of Lee Jae-myung.
Spokesperson Han Min-soo said, "We cannot go against the public sentiment with a political ruling that sympathizes with the president who is engrossed in killing political opponents," adding, "We will trust the people without wavering."
Supreme Council member Kim Min-seok also reaffirmed on social media that big things have a crisis to the end, and wrote that the party and representative Lee Jae-myung will overcome it.
Representative Lee will attend a rally in front of Gwanghwamun, Seoul, hosted by the Democratic Party of Korea today to denounce President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife.
It is expected to send a message to party members and supporters to continue to be with them, saying they will go unshakable.
However, inside the Democratic Party, the atmosphere of confusion is clearly read.
There are many reactions that even if they were convicted, they expected a fine, and did not expect a suspended prison sentence.
If it is confirmed as it is, not only will Lee Jae-myung's individual election candidacy be restricted for 10 years, but the Democratic Party will also have to return 43.4 billion won in the last presidential election, which could shake the party's finances.
CEO Lee must also be sentenced to the first trial on charges of perjury on the 25th.
In the future, the offensive targeting the suspicions of President Yoon and his wife and Myung Tae-kyun is likely to strengthen, and some predict that there may be widespread voices calling for the impeachment of the president or a constitutional amendment to shorten his term.

What is the reaction of the people's power?
[Reporter]
The power of the people, who have been in a tight spot due to the opposition's attack on the independent counsel, appears to be making a massive counterattack.
Representative Han Dong-hoon criticized on social media that Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party of Korea's push for an outdoor rally is the worst reason for intimidating judges beyond self-reflection.
At the same time, he claimed that CEO Lee would face a heavier sentence in the first trial of perjury teacher charges on the 25th.
Last year, when the representative Lee's arrest agreement was passed by the National Assembly, it was already included, so even if the judiciary decides to arrest him in court, it is not necessary to obtain separate legislative consent.
Some in the ruling party called for Lee's resignation as the leader of the party.
Rep. Kim Ki-hyun wrote on social media that the party's shrineization and intimidation of the judiciary for bulletproof purposes would have been a reason for aggravating sentencing, adding that Lee will have to resign and reflect on himself in the future.
Within the party, the so-called "anti-eat and run law" is also being pursued, which punishes judges if they are intimidated and allows them to seize campaign funds to be recovered in advance before they are found guilty of election law violations.
The ruling party believes that Lee's ruling in the first trial also gave President Yoon the momentum to maintain a single confrontation in the third re-vote of the Kim Gun-hee Special Counsel Act, which is expected to exercise his right to demand reconsideration, or veto.
However, it is a burden that President Yoon and his wife are suspected of intervening in the nomination due to the revelations of Myung Tae-kyun and Rep. Lee Joon-seok of the New Reform Party.
CEO Han Dong-hoon said, "I am well aware that the reflective profits of Lee's conviction alone cannot win public sentiment," and emphasized that although it is still insufficient, it is on the way to change and reform and will continue to do so.
