After the first trial of the perjury teacher case of Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea on the 25th, the People's Power decided to file a complaint with the prosecution against Lee on charges of violating the Political Fund Act.
People's Power will accuse Lee of being an accomplice with Kim Yong, former vice president of the Korea Institute for Democracy, who was convicted of receiving illegal political funds from a developer in Daejang-dong, according to an official from the party's legal advisory committee.
The People's Power believes that representative Lee could not have known about Kim's political funds, as he played a leading role in the camp during the presidential election.
Earlier, legal and judicial members of the People's Power urged the prosecution to investigate, saying that since April last year, representative Lee has participated in a Telegram chat room where former Vice Chairman Kim's lawyers have shared the trial situation.
