The Democratic Party of Korea criticized President Yoon Suk Yeol's approval of the appointment of Park Jang-beom as a result of the set procedures.
In a written briefing, the Democratic Party said it had identified the candidate's distorted media views, inappropriate stock trading, tax evasion and falsification of his son through three days of confirmation hearings, but processed the appointment before the scheduled on-site investigation was completed.
He then said that the launch of President Park Jang-beom's system is no different from KBS's declaration of Kim Gun-hee's broadcasting, and that he will return KBS to the public's broadcasting.
Earlier in February, President Park was criticized by the opposition for intentionally trying to reduce the issue by describing the luxury bag Kim received as a "small pouch" during a meeting with President Yoon.
