Choo made the remarks at the floor meeting, referring to Lee's remarks after the first trial's acquittal of perjury teacher charges, saying, "It would be nice to become a politics that coexists with each other and goes together."
The Democratic Party of Korea then announced the impeachment of prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Central District Prosecutors' Office, at the upcoming plenary session, stressing that withdrawing even now would be the first step from the politics of retaliation to the politics of coexistence.
In particular, he said, "Let's readjust all the benchmarks for the operation of the remaining regular session of the National Assembly to match people's livelihoods," and that Lee's personal case should be entrusted to Lee Jae-myung, a private individual, to leave the judicial judgment to the judiciary and return the holiday streets to citizens."
