According to the National Assembly's agenda information system, President Yoon issued a public statement yesterday, approved 42 bills, including bills that passed the Cabinet meeting, and submitted a "consensus on the appointment of Supreme Court Justice Ma Yong-ju" to the National Assembly.

In the motion, President Yoon said he is asking for consent to appoint a successor to the Supreme Court in accordance with the Constitution as one Supreme Court justice's term expires on the 27th.

At the same time, he revealed the reason for the request for appointment of candidate Ma as an orthodox judge who has devoted himself to faithfully guaranteeing the people's right to trial with extensive legal knowledge and excellent judgment.

In this regard, an official from the President's Office explained that it was in accordance with the legal procedure at the request of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
