Kwon Sung-dong, floor leader of the People's Power Party, proposed to lawmakers to participate in the vote on the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol on the premise of his personal opinion.

Kwon Young-se met with reporters during a general meeting of lawmakers at the National Assembly and said floor leader Kwon Sung-dong made the remarks on the condition of his personal opinion.

The People's Power has been holding a general meeting of lawmakers since 10 a.m. to discuss participation in the vote on President Yoon's impeachment and whether to change the party's "opposition to impeachment."

Most members of the ruling party are said to agree to participate in the vote.
