Acting President Han Deok-soo's first schedule of people's livelihood was the Mid-sized Business Day event.
At the meeting, acting Han Deok-soo emphasized the role of job creation, calling mid-sized companies a "growth ladder."
[Han Deok-soo / Acting President: Medium-sized companies account for only 1.3% of all companies in Korea. However, accounting for 18% of Korea's exports and accounting for around 14% of employment and sales, / creating 250,000 quality jobs every year.]
Acting President Han Deok-soo also stressed the need to pass the government's budget, including a moratorium on inheritance tax, in relation to companies that have moved to the provinces for the growth of mid-sized companies.
However, he said that this is only possible through cooperation between the ruling and opposition parties and the government, and that there is no separation between the ruling and opposition parties in stabilizing state affairs.
[Han Deok-soo / Acting President: I told (National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik) that there are no ruling and opposition parties, the government or the National Assembly in stabilizing state affairs, / I think a consultative body that includes both the ruling and opposition parties and the National Assembly Speaker can be launched.]
In an earlier schedule, Acting President Han Deok-soo was briefed on his first work by the senior presidential secretary for economic affairs,
The first schedule related to people's livelihoods has repeatedly focused on the 'economy'.
At the same time, there was also a request to pay attention to words and actions at an expanded executive meeting with the Office for Government Policy Coordination in consideration of the emergency.
Attention is focusing on acting Han Deok-soo's move on how he will exercise his duty to continue during the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial against President Yoon in the future.
