Kwon Sung-dong, acting leader of the party, met with reporters after a general meeting of lawmakers and said he would collect opinions from each player and recommend specific candidates for the emergency committee chairman.

The candidate recommendation committee will be formed to listen to and reflect opinions evenly from the first to senior.

Joo Ho-young, the party's sixth term and vice chairman of the National Assembly, were reportedly mentioned as candidates for the emergency committee chairman at a closed general meeting of lawmakers.

Earlier, the names of senior lawmakers in the party, including Kwon Young-se and Na Kyung-won, were on the list, and it was also discussed that acting Kwon would concurrently serve as chairman of the emergency committee.
