The National Insurrection Permanent Special Prosecutor Candidate Recommendation Committee urged Acting President Han Deok-soo to request a candidate recommendation right now so that he can recommend a candidate for the special prosecutor.

The standing special prosecutor's candidate recommendation committee held a press conference and said that it is a clear illegal act and a dereliction of duty under the criminal law for Han not to request candidate recommendation so far.

The Candidate Recommendation Committee decided to send an official letter expressing strong regret over the situation in which the committee has not been able to fulfill its legal duty of nominating candidates and urging them to request recommendations.
