The ruling party tried to investigate without authority due to the failure of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit's "Yoon's arrest."

The People's Power criticized the attempt by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to entrust the police with the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol as a disaster caused by an agency that did not have the right to investigate in the first place.

Senior spokesman Shin Dong-wook told reporters at the National Assembly that he thought they might have twisted themselves.

The ruling party members of the National Assembly's Judiciary Committee also issued a statement and pointed out that the belated delegation of the arrest warrant to the police was an acknowledgment of the illegality of the investigation.

They urged the court to stop requesting arrest warrants, transferring cases to the police, and resigning from the head of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, saying that even though the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit said it would apply to the court to extend the validity of the arrest warrant.

The ruling party members of the National Security Council also visited the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency and said they received a pledge from Woo Jong-soo, the head of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, to actively investigate the execution of warrants under the Criminal Procedure Act.
