The Army said it will resume the real-life grenade-throwing drills, which were suspended after the death of a trainee in May last year, from next month at boot camp and other training institutions.

In May last year, the Army stopped the real-life grenade-throwing training and replaced it with a practice grenade after a grenade exploded during a grenade-throwing drill at the 32nd Infantry Division.

Earlier, the military reportedly confirmed that the hydrothermal munitions were not defective in technical tests conducted by the National Defense Agency for Technology and Quality.An official from

emphasized that the complementary system, such as increasing sufficient mastery and rehearsal time, will be implemented normally in the educational field.
