Red tide preliminary warning lifted completely...Downgraded to Crisis Alert 'Attention'

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries lowered the red tide crisis warning level from 'caution' to 'attention' as of 2 p.m. today.

Accordingly, the comprehensive red tide situation room was converted to a red tide sign monitoring system.

Earlier last month, more than 700 red tide creatures were observed at one time, mainly in Deukryang Bay, Jeollanam-do, and red tide warnings were maintained for 28 days.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said all red tide warnings have been lifted this year, but it plans to monitor them in preparation for the possible proliferation of red tide organisms by October.
