Cabbage prices are on the decline.

According to a survey conducted by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the average retail price of a cabbage product was 3,257 won as of yesterday (15th), down 63% from a month ago.It is analyzed that this is due to the fact that

Autumn cabbage shipments have begun in earnest and retailers have started discounting sales.

However, compared to a year ago, it is more than 20% expensive.

In particular, the retail price of one radish as of the day before yesterday is 2,524 won, down 30% from a month ago, but it is 72% higher than a year ago.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs predicted that prices will stabilize more as cabbage shipments begin in earnest in Honam, the largest main production area, from the middle of this month.

In addition, it plans to ease the burden of making kimchi on consumers by providing up to 40% discount support for making kimchi.

GS The Fresh, a supermarket run by GS Retail, has decided to extend its pre-booking of pickled cabbage and kimchi until early next month.

A box of 20kg of pickled cabbage in Haenam is sold for 44,000 won, and a box of 10kg of kimchi is sold for 39,000 won.

Until the 20th, Homeplus will sell a bag of Haenam cabbage for 1,900 won by applying discount coupons for agricultural and livestock products and card discounts.

In addition, kimchi vegetables such as chives, water parsley, and ginger are on sale at a 20% discount.

E-Mart also announced that it will sell three domestic cabbage and radish for 4,000 won by the 21st.The
Agricultural Cooperative Federation offers up to 44% discount on 10kg of cabbage at major Hanaro Marts nationwide based on donations made by food companies.
