The Reinforced Concrete Construction Industry Council, the Architectural Engineers Association, and Hanyang University have decided to join hands to solve the problem of a shortage of construction personnel.
The three organizations signed a business agreement today at Hanyang University Erica Campus in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, to promote industrial cooperation and to jointly cultivate construction professionals.
The Reinforced Concrete Construction Industry Council and Hanyang University plan to create a three-year smart construction structure construction major early employment contract department to nurture the customized talent they want in the field.
After completing basic education in the first grade, students will take classes at night and on weekends in the second and third grades and receive in-depth education at the corporate site.
Jang Se-hyun, chairman of the Reinforced Concrete Construction Industry Council, said that fostering talented people with practical skills is essential for the development of the industry, and that we will continue to resolve the manpower shortage through industry-academia cooperation.
