The Korean Food Promotion Agency and the Korean Embassy in England held a Korean cuisine competition in London, England on the 11th.
The British culinary school students who made it to the finals presented Korean dishes using traditional Korean pastes, such as soybean paste and red pepper paste.
Daegu cuisine using ginger and soybean paste was selected as the first place, while Western-style meat fries using red pepper paste came in second.
An official from the Korean Food Promotion Agency said the competition confirmed the high interest in Korean food in the UK.
