Among the nation's 1,000 largest companies, the proportion of CEOs from the so-called "SKY," which refers to Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University, has decreased slightly.
Unico Search, a global headhunting company, analyzed the universities and majors of CEOs of 1,000 largest companies, and 408 out of 1,380 CEOs were from SKY, accounting for 29.6%.
Compared to last year, it was down 0.3 percentage points.
Among them, 188 were from Seoul National University, followed by 113 from Yonsei University and 107 from Korea University.
The percentage of science and engineering graduates was 45.5%, up 0.1% points from last year.
Unico Search explained that insight and execution to "see" the trend of the times faster and more accurately are becoming more important than the "signboard" of universities now.
