The price cap for products sold in multi-level or sponsored door-to-door sales will be raised from 1.6 million won to 2 million won.
The Fair Trade Commission said that the amendment to the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, etc., which includes such information, passed the Cabinet meeting.
Reflecting the expansion of the economy, the amendment raised the upper limit of individual goods prices for multi-level and sponsored door-to-door sales from 1.6 million won to 2 million won.
We have also reorganized exceptions to the standard for calculating the proportion of final consumer sales for sponsored door-to-door sales.
If the sponsored door-to-door sales business period is less than one year, it can be calculated based on the actual business period, not the previous business year, and electronic transaction sales are excluded.
The amendment will take effect six months after it is promulgated after the presidential sanction.
