The Viewers Media Foundation and the Film Promotion Committee will hold a movie viewing event with the disabled, non-disabled, and foreigners.
More than 200 foreigners staying in Korea, the city and hearing impaired, and 150 non-disabled people will attend the event, which will be held at the Busan Cinema Center tomorrow (29th).
Participants will watch movies using multilingual subtitle services such as Chinese, Vietnamese, and English along with screen commentary and Korean subtitles for the disabled.
Prior to this event, the Viewers Media Foundation, the Film Promotion Committee, and the Busan Federation of Disabled Persons will hold a "simultaneous viewing equipment unmanned rental box installation ceremony."
In the future, people with visual and hearing impairments can rent augmented reality glasses, earphones, and smartphones provided in unmanned rental boxes for free to watch movies for simultaneous viewing.
Choi Chul-ho, chairman of the Viewers Media Foundation, explained that it plans to distribute additional unmanned rental boxes within this year to eight movie theaters nationwide that want to be installed.
