Samsung Electronics has promoted a number of talents in new technology fields that will lead future growth, such as artificial intelligence and next-generation semiconductors, in executive personnel appointments this year.
Samsung Electronics has promoted 137 executives from regular executive appointments in 2025, including 35 vice presidents, 92 executives, and 10 masters.
Among them, a number of talented people in the new technology field were included, including Hong Joo-sun, head of the circuit development group, who generated results such as improving the functions of AI home appliances, and Bae Seung-joon, head of the DRAM design group 3, who led the strengthening of DRAM's competitiveness.
Samsung Electronics said that although the number of executives' promotions has decreased compared to previous years, it has pushed for a generational change in accordance with the principle of performanceism and has selected a managing director in his 30s and a vice president in his 40s.
