In the wake of the emergency, the business community convened an emergency meeting early in the morning to discuss its response strategy.

The external conditions are already difficult, but financial market instability and political turmoil have added to the business situation.

Reporter Choi Ah-young reports.

Companies stayed up all night in the middle of the night due to martial law.

Although I was relieved that martial law was lifted, I held a series of emergency meetings from early morning to check the future aftermath.

First, SK Group convened an emergency management meeting presided over by Choi Chang-won, chairman of Supex Pursuit Council.

It is said that they focused on the impact of the emergency martial law crisis on group management.

HD Hyundai also held an emergency meeting of presidents and looked at possible future economic conditions and response strategies.

At this meeting, Chairman Kwon Oh-gap asked the president of each company to be aware of the emergency management situation.

LG convened an emergency meeting for each affiliate to check financial market trends and discuss responses to overseas customer inquiries.

In particular, the office building is located in Yeouido, close to the National Assembly, so employees were advised to work from home.

Other companies, such as Samsung and Hanwha, are also known to have gathered to discuss the aftermath of the martial law crisis.

In particular, companies focused on the impact of exchange rate and stock market fluctuations on markets and businesses.

It also focused on quelling anxiety among overseas traders and investors.

[Lee In-cheol / Director of Economic Research Institute: Exports are actually at the end of the year, so we have to push ahead with what we planned at the beginning of the year.... When uncertainty grows and the high exchange rate becomes a new normal (new standard), it is more difficult to plan business.]

The external conditions are not easy, but the business environment of companies is deteriorating due to the unexpected bad news of martial law.
