The minimum wage for seafarers next year is 2.61 million won per month...2.1% higher than this year

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced next year's minimum wage for seafarers at 2,614,810 won per month.

It is 53,780 won and 2.1% higher than this year, and applies to all sailors regardless of the industry, such as fishing boats and merchant ships.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries decided on the minimum wage plan by comprehensively considering the need to improve the treatment of seafarers, consumer inflation next year, and the outlook for the shipping and fisheries industry.
