"70% of Korean companies, labor-management relations are more unstable next year than this year"

Seven out of 10 domestic companies predict that labor-management relations will become more unstable next year than this year.

According to a survey of 150 member companies conducted by the Korea Employers Federation from the 25th of last month to the 6th of this month, 69.3% expect labor-management relations to be more unstable than this year.

{Slightly More Anxiety' was 53.3% and 'Much More Anxiety' was 16%, up significantly from 62.3% last year.

More than half cited the demands of various unions, including the extension of the retirement age, as reasons for predicting unstable labor-management relations, followed by increased restructuring-related struggles and increased political struggles by labor due to worsening economic conditions.

The KEF said companies are also concerned about labor-management instability in addition to recent political and economic uncertainties, adding that wisdom to solve problems through dialogue is more urgent than ever.
