Police have arrested those accused of securing tickets to famous performances such as Lim Young-woong and Na Hoon-ah concerts using macro programs and selling them at up to dozens of times the price.

The crime prevention order team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency arrested a total of seven people, including a woman in her 20s and a male college student in her 20s, on charges of violating the performance law.

They are accused of making profits by selling tickets to famous performances such as singers Lim Young-woong and Na Hoon-ah concerts secured using macro programs.

Mr. A has sold more than 300 tickets for about three years since 2021, earning about 100 million won, and Mr. B has sold 15 tickets for a month since June, earning 13 million won.

In the case of actor Byun Woo-seok's fan meeting, tickets worth 77,000 won were traded at 2.35 million won, 30 times the price.

All of the suspects are in their 20s and 30s who are familiar with using computers such as macro programs, and were job seekers or college students who committed crimes to pay for living expenses or pocket money.

The police emphasized that they will respond strictly as online ticket trading deprives them of the opportunity to enjoy fair culture.
