In June, Binggrae III President Kim Dong-hwan even assaulted the police who were dispatched for being drunk and making a fuss at his apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The prosecution asked the court to impose a six-month prison sentence and a one-year probation on President Kim.
The Seoul Western District Court, the first trial court, fined Kim 5 million won.
The court stressed that the crime was not light on how President Kim assaulted a police officer who was dispatched after receiving a 112 report while drunk.
At the same time, he referred to the letter of apology written by President Kim and the petition submitted by his spouse,
It was explained that President Kim regretted his mistake, asked for forgiveness, and considered that the police officer who was victimized by the assault was also appealing for leniency.
After the sentence, President Kim Dong-hwan briefly answered the reporters' questions, saying he was sorry.
[Kim Dong-hwan / CEO Binggrae: (Please say something about this sentence.) I'm sorry. (Do you have anything to say to the assault victim?) ....]
President Kim Dong-hwan also said in the first trial held last month that he admitted all charges.
After reviewing the ruling, the prosecution will decide whether to appeal.
