A former police officer who disguised and laundered 20 billion won in criminal proceeds from a telephone financial fraud organization as a gift certificate transaction has been put on trial.

It is worth 2.8 billion won in bribes secured by the prosecution at the office of the representative of the gift certificate company A.

Mr. A's group turned the money stolen from the victims into cash when they brought it to the check, and decorated it as if they had traded gift certificates.

Since July last year, more than 20 billion won has been laundered more than 120 times.

In the end, A, who was handed over to trial in custody, is a retired police officer who has worked for 10 years in the frontline police intelligence team.
