In the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test held yesterday (14th), an examinee was found to have not submitted a cell phone used in middle school and was treated as an actor.
According to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education on the 15th, vibrations rang between bags collected in the classroom during the second period of the math test at a high school in Busanjin-gu, Busan, the morning before.
After completing the test, the exam supervisor asked the test takers for their consent and conducted a bag inspection, and a cell phone that was turned off was found in a test taker's bag.
The test-taker had submitted his usual cell phone to the supervisor before the test began.
The examinee explained, "I brought a bag I used in middle school, but I didn't know there was a public machine," but it was eventually treated as a fraud when electronic devices were found in my belongings.
Supervisors tried to find the cause of the vibration sound, but they couldn't find it in the end.
The education office said, "We conducted an investigation, but it was not confirmed where the vibration sound came from. Even mobile phones that are not currently in use were found in the bag, so we processed the test takers according to the regulations."
