The court accepted an injunction for suspension of validity filed by some test-takers in connection with the controversy over the leakage of Yonsei University's occasional natural essay test.

As a result, the announcement schedule for successful candidates scheduled for the 13th of next month is also expected to be suspended until the results of the lawsuit are released asking them to retake the test.

The court accepted some test takers' demands to stop the process of admission to the natural essay examination from time to time, citing the fairness of the exam.

The court emphasized that the fairness of the test is absolutely important given the characteristics of the screening, in which pass or not is determined only by the score of the essay test.

To this end, he said that it should be premised that all candidates have taken the test under the same conditions and environment according to social wisdom.

However, when the test papers were distributed an hour earlier, the problem was exposed to some extent regardless of the intention of the test takers, saying that checking the condition of the questionnaire was done together.

He also said that even after collecting the test paper, there did not appear to be any restrictions on the use of electronic devices or entering the test site.

The court said that in the process, some test-takers had the opportunity to prepare for the test using information they had obtained in advance, and that the test information was likely delivered to the test-takers in other test sites, and that fairness was undermined.

The supervisors also pointed out that they did not take appropriate measures to prevent external leakage after collecting the questionnaire, and that the school is responsible for their management and responsibility.

In response to Yonsei University's claim that the screening cannot be completed within the set deadline through re-examination, he pointed out that more than a month has passed since the issue of fairness arose, but no action has been taken, causing a lack of time on its own.

Earlier, some test-takers filed a lawsuit together asking for an injunction to suspend the validity of the essay test and for the test to be retaken.

According to the court's judgment, the schedule for the announcement of successful applicants scheduled for the 13th of next month is also expected to be suspended until the results of the lawsuit for re-examination are released.
