The Supreme Court has confirmed a lower court ruling that the list of police investigation review committees should be disclosed in terms of the public's right to know.
On the 14th, the Supreme Court confirmed the lower court's decision to win some of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed by A against the head of the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency to cancel the denial of information disclosure.
Since March last year, A has filed an administrative lawsuit against the Gangwon National Police Agency several times to disclose the list of investigation review committees held in connection with the case he sued, but was rejected.
The courts of the first and second trials ruled that it is appropriate for the police to disclose the list of investigation review members and deliberation resolutions in the public interest that guarantees the people's right to know.
Although the police objected to the ruling, the Supreme Court upheld the original ruling by dismissing the appeal in a simple manner when there was no reason for a serious violation of the law.
