Regarding the Seoul Metropolitan Government's decision to consider putting foreign workers into village buses following domestic managers, Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo stressed that it should be considered very carefully.

Minister Kim appeared on YTN New Square 2PM yesterday (19th) and said, "Village bus drivers also need the ability to understand road traffic laws and prepare for the risk of traffic accidents."

He also said that he conveyed this opinion to the Ministry of Justice, saying that language and communication skills should be available for passenger service.

Regarding the social dialogue on the extension of the retirement age, Minister Kim said that the labor community should uniformly revise the law to raise the retirement age to 65, which is unreasonable, and that different companies should have different situations and give them options.

He then reiterated that if the retirement age is extended without a wage system reform, companies will also be less productive and unable to endure it, but it will result in the loss of jobs, especially for young people, and that it is desirable to move to a post-retirement reemployment format after the wage system reform.
