The labor union of the private railway, including Seoul Subway Line 9, the West Sea Line, and Yongin Light Railway, insisted that insufficient manpower should be added for safety.
The Public Transport Workers' Union held a press conference in front of Seoul City Hall today (21st) and said, "Line 9 has increased with the opening of the station, but we are concerned about safety accidents due to deteriorating working conditions, such as reducing employees in the name of efficiency."
The union claimed that it was not able to properly invest in facilities and conduct legal inspections due to its multi-level consignment structure and low-cost bidding for the West Sea Line, and that it was not able to hire enough safety personnel.
Regarding Yongin Light Rail, he then urged the government to stop promoting the policy for safety, saying it is difficult to respond quickly to the unmanned history policy of deploying one safety guard in three to four stations.
