An arrest warrant for Kim Ki-yu, former chairman of Taekwang Group Management Council, who is accused of ordering 15 billion won worth of unfair loans to the management of affiliates, has been rejected by the court again.
The Seoul Western District Court rejected the warrant today (21st), saying there is no possibility of removing evidence or running away.
Former chairman Kim is under prosecution investigation for lending about 15 billion won from a savings bank affiliated with Taekwang Group in August last year at the request of a representative of a real estate development company he knew.
Earlier, the court rejected Kim's warrant once last month, and the prosecution re-applied the arrest warrant on charges of breach of trust under the Specific Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act on the 19th.
