The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's mobile patrol said it has uncovered an unmanned store in Mokdong, Seoul, for selling alcohol online.
The unmanned store was found to have been able to purchase alcohol and drink it in the store.
When the police sold liquor, they charged the owner of an unmanned store with violating the Liquor License Act and handed over the case to the Seoul National Tax Service.
Under the National Tax Service's notice, liquor retailers are required to sell household alcoholic beverages face-to-face and a fine of up to 20 million won will be imposed for violations.
Earlier on the 22nd, the police also cracked down on two convenience stores that sold cigarettes to teenagers in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, for violating the Youth Protection Act.
